As a first generation college graduate, Elena is breaking barriers and crossing boundaries no one in her family ever thought possible. Originally from Columbus, GA, Elena graduated as the 2009 Valedictorian of Carver High School after overcoming a childhood with abuse, assault, and the foster care system, among other things.

Her life experiences helped her turn her pain into purpose, which inspired her love to assist others. Holding 2 pageant titles, Elena pushed her platform, "Strong Girls Become Strong Women" encouraging young women to achieve their goals regardless of their past. This inspired her to expand her reach and create Beyond the Tears Foundation.

In 2016, she was honored by Teal Stiletto, LLC for her bravery to share her story in overcoming sexual assault and she hosted "Beauty for Ashes: You're More than Enough" in Columbus, GA as encouragement to women and to provide domestic violence awareness.

She speaks to women, men, and children of all ages on topics such as overcoming trauma, literacy, self worth, bullying, finances, as well as other topics.
